Wisdom & Devotion of Queen Kunti
with Jai Nitai Gaura das
Join us in this deep and invigorating experience. The seminar offers in depth analyses and discourse on Queen Kunti’s prayers, an important section from the first canto of Srimad Bhagavatam.
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada intended the book, Prayers of Queen Kunti, as an important text for the understanding and the application of Krishna Consciousness. There are two separate commentaries by Srila Prabhupada on this text. One is Srila Prabhupada’s translation and commentary on eighth chapter of the first Canto of Srimad Bhagavatam, texts 18-43. Srila Prabhupada also lectured on the entire section, the transcriptions of these lectures are published as a separate book the Teachings of Queen Kunti.
In this seminar devotees will be guided through the passages that are full of wisdom and devotion. There will be the opportunity to lend the ear to the sweet narrations of Srimad Bhagavatam and also participate in interactive exercises.
“Let me therefore offer my respectful obeisances unto the Lord, who has become the son of Vasudeva, the pleasure of Devakī, the boy of Nanda and the other cowherd men of Vṛndāvana, and the enlivener of the cows and the senses.” (Queen Kunti, SB.1.8.21)
