Bhakti Vaibhava
Ever wanted to study Srimad Bhagavatam systematically?
Bhaktivedanta Manor’s new Bhakti Vaibhava course may be just for you. Students will study Cantos 1 to 6 of the Srimad Bhagavatam with a teacher, and is ideal for those who have completed their Bhakti Sastri studies.
The course is intended to be enjoyable and thought-provoking. Students will have the opportunity to study each canto in turn, looking at the text and Srila Prabhupada’s purports from different viewpoints. Students will attend a 3 hour interactive session once a week, and they will be assessed through homework assignments, written tests and sloka memorisation.
The course is accredited by the renowned Mayapur Institute, and successful candidates who complete the first 6 cantos will be awarded the Bhakti Vaibhava Degree.
The course will be split into chunks, canto by canto. Study of the first canto will commence in mid-January 2013, with the second canto starting after Janmashtami in September 2013. It is estimated that the first 3 cantos will be completed by around March 2014.
Course Dates (Canto 1): Every Sunday, 27th Jan 2013 – 23rd June 2013
Time: 2pm – 5pm
Venue: Goshalla Room, Bhaktivedanta Manor
