Bhakti Shastri

The Bhakti Shastri Course is a degree course suitable for devotees well familiar with the practice of Krishna consciousness, desiring to study Srila Prabhupada’s books in a greater depth.

It is our ambition that devotees taking this course will experience a change in their Krishna consciousness and spiritual lives, as well as increased capability and qualification to serve Srila Prabhupada’s mission.

The course takes a personal approach to learning. It encourages the students to not only understand the content of Srila Prabhupada’s books but to also digest the philosophy and practically apply it.

In the course, the four books of Srila Prabhupada are systematically studied:

- Bhagavad-gita As It Is
- Bhakti Rasamrita Sindhu – The Nectar of Devotion
- Sri Upadesamrita – The Nectar of Instruction
- Sri Isopanisad

Bhakti Shastri is one of the courses of the College accredited by the National Open College. It is a great opportunity to systematically study Srila Prabhupada’s books and become conversant in the philosophy of Krishna Consciousness.

It is strongly recommended to complete the “Explore” and “Gita Life” courses before undertaking the Bhakti Shastri course, to assure that students have some foundational knowledge in the philosophy and practice of Krishna Consciousness.
