In addition to having a traditional Indian ceremony you can also arrange for your civil wedding to be celebrated here. This not only saves money but combines both civil and religious ceremony into one unique experience. The only requirement from prospective couples is that they must give notices of their intention to marry at the local registry office and that they must frequent Bhaktivedanta Manor as their place of worship prior to the wedding. Please note that the Hare Krishna Temple is a registered building sanctioned under the marriage Act to perform civil marriage.
The striking 1900 century black-and-white manor house is set in 17 acres of attractive gardens complete with lake and wood. This setting provides ideal opportunities for taking those special photographs. 
Our delicious vegetarian menu is prepared from fresh ingredients right on the premises. And is blessed by being offered to Krishna. All our menu items are satvic and are suitable for both Hindu and Jain diets.
The ceremony is conducted according to Hindu tradition with prayers found in India’s ancient Vedas. Adjustments can be made for regional cultures such as Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi, and so on. The ceremony lasts for around 90 mins and many hundreds of couples have commented on how they found it a joyful celebration which fully engaged family and friends.
