Vacancy: Wedding & Events Manager

We are searching for a creative, dynamic and enthusiastic Wedding/Events Manager to organise outstanding and unforgettable events.  You will be responsible from the event planning stage, through to evaluation of the event, whilst maintaining and building a relationship with each Client.

We want a strong candidate to assist our team in hosting weddings/events.  You will be expected to promote our organisation’s image, improve client loyalty, and enhance our brand-to-client experience. 

Your creativity, organisational skills, and vision will assist our organisation in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client and employee relations, and improve our organisation’s growth through events that effectively communicate our vision statement.

The event manager will be tasked with planning and managing our events’ calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with clients, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on event brief objectives. 

As the Event Manager, you should demonstrate exceptional organisational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and excellent time-management and possess a sound knowledge of client management. Excellent communication and attention to detail are vital in this role, as our success depends on meeting our client’s tailored requirements.

Key responsibilities include

  • Ensure all Weddings and Events are planned to a high standard whilst exceeding our guest’s expectations.
  • Ensuring all enquiries and client feedback are managed professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Work towards improving sales and services by effectively handling special event enquiries, and contact those accordingly.
  • Work in accordance to achieve budgeted sales, operational expenses, including forecasting and cost control, whilst building upon the reputation of our organisation.
  • Conduct professional show tours of the Bhaktivedanta Manor and it’s grounds.
  • Undertake initial meetings with clients, producing event plans and budget sheets through to sending out invoices.  
  • Personally meet clients, maintaining regular status checks and striving to improve guest’s expectations.
  • Liaise professionally with all Department Heads involved in the preparation and execution of Wedding and Events.
  • Liaise and order with suppliers, the required products necessary in ensuring the smooth running and organisation of Weddings and Events.

Vacancy: Customer Service Representative

Here at Bhaktivedanta Manor we are looking for Customer Service Representatives (2 positions available) to join a robust and dynamic team with skills of excellence.

The Customer service representatives will serve directly under the Head of the Team at Radharani’s Kitchen and will be responsible for a number of administrative duties.

Key responsibilities include

  • To meet the customers’ needs and serve with efficiency and timely manner at the Radharani’s Kitchen for its regular smooth operations
  • Provide professional support and assistance in the fore front of the shop floor
  • Organize, communicate, time-manage, multitask and keep strong attention to details
  • Maintain food hygiene at all times
  • Making sure shelves are tidy, all products are displayed
  • Maintaining & checking all products are ready and placed on shelves at the time of opening
  • Keeping up to date with sign posters in the Kitchen
  • Keeping the shop floor and all surfaces clean and meeting food hygiene quality consistently
  • Serve customers efficiently and sell food products on the till
  • Cash and card handling on till
  • Maintain stock control in shop and keep record of food expiry dates etc.
  • Helping in the kitchen when needed

Key responsibilities include

  • To maintain the food hygiene cleanliness standard in the kitchen
  • Clean all appliances on regular weekly basis and/or whenever required in the shop kitchen and in the stable kitchen
  • Keep the kitchen area tidy and help keeping the kitchen store clean and tidy
  • To clean pots and all surfaces
  • To maintain the schedule of cleaning all appliances and work surfaces
  • Maintain food hygiene at all times
  • Help in keeping the shop floor and all surfaces clean and meeting food hygiene quality consistently
  • To help shop team in smooth running of the kitchen
  • Helping in the kitchen when needed
  • To help in taking deliveries and putting it away where needed

Vacancy: Maintenance Engineer

Here at Bhaktivedanta Manor we are looking for a Maintenance person to join us to assist in the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the temple and its properties.

Key responsibilities include

  • Maintaining and ensuring upkeep of temple and temple properties.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies swiftly.
  • Make small repairs as needed, sometimes improvising solutions
  • Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Obtaining spares parts
  • Be on duty at all festivals

Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Experience of using hand and electrical tools.
  • Knowledge of tiling and carpentry
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills

Vacancy: BMF Secretary

Here at Bhaktivedanta Manor we are looking for a secretary to join us to assist in the day today Secretarial administration and office related functioning of the Bhaktivedanta Manor Foundation.

Key responsibilities include

  • Attending the BMF Phone exchange
  • Deal with BMF related mails/emails
  • Supervise proper recording of all donations received and donations related to major projects at Bhaktivedanta Manor
  • Producing regular reports relating to Patrons, Sevaks and other major projects
  • Dealing with life membership enquiries and all life membership related administration i.e., Patrons’ missing payments/cancellation, adjustments, making and renewal of Life Membership Passports, etc.
  • Booking of accommodation for Patrons and close contacts visiting abroad mainly in India
  • Assisting with Gift Aid claims.
  • Assisting with Inland Revenue Audits.
  • Actively involved in all major festivals conducted by Bhaktivedanta Manor.
  • Sending out birthday cards/ Prasad on a regular basis
  • Managing Nitya Seva/ sending Nityaseva reminders
  • Managing office, cleanliness, ordering of printing of office related stationeries i.e., letterhead, complimentary slips, receipt books, etc.

Core Competencies:

  • Experience in Secretarial and other PA career.
  • Has good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Database system.  
  • Has excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Trustworthy and willing to dedicate time when needed.
  • Friendly in nature as will be working with volunteers and meeting a variety of people.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting
  • General Touch typing and IT skills
  • Knowledge in Gujrati and Hindi will be a bonus

  • Overseeing / ordering groceries & other items
