Shraddha

2nd September until the 16th September

Shraddha is a time for expressing our love and gratitude to our departed family members by making offerings to help them on their onward journey.

Shraddha lasts for one fortnight from the beginning of the lunar month of Ashwin, which this years falls from the 2nd September until the 16th September inclusive.

Ceremony at Bhaktivedanta Manor

There will be daily Shraddha ceremonies at the temple starting at 5:00pm.

The ceremony will be led by a priest consisting of

Sankalpa, Pitri Tarpana (offering of Water to ancestors ) & Go Puja / feeding of the cows.

Visiting the temple during Shraddha

Please note that at present you can:

  • Take Darshan and offer prayers in the temple room. 
  • Visit New Gokul Farm and feed the cows. 
  • Get a takeaway from Radharanis Cafe.
  • Shop at Krishnas Gift Shop. 

As the threat of the virus subsides and when we receive further government advice, we’ll be opening more temple facilities.
