Guided Tours for new guests

 

Bhaktivedanta Manor is a hive of activity and is always open to new guests as regulars.

However we have the following provisions for guest tours*, for those visiting for the first time. 

From 11am – 4pm, every day

*It is mandatory to book in groups of 7 people or more if you would like a tour. Scroll below to learn more.

The estate offers retreat to a world of yoga, meditation, sacred music, pure vegetarian food, theatre, seminars, workshops, community schooling, and the dairy farm.

Organic Farming
An inspirational project developing a range of home grown vegetables on eight acres using a revived old English ploughing system. A unique feature of the farm is its reliance on ox power instead of tractors.

The country’s largest fully operational organic dairy farm and visitor centre reintroduces a radical approach to farming in the modern world.

These brand new facilities include two large multi-purpose function halls, a creche, classrooms and an entrance lobby. 

Bakery and Gift Shop
Home-baked bread, cakes and savouries are all pure vegetarian and prepared with love and devotion. Various gifts are also available, including books, music, incense and clothing.

A warm welcome awaits you where you can experience a joyful ambiance imbued with constant meditation and prayer.

Provisions for visitors:

Disabled visitors are welcome at Bhaktivedanta Manor.  We strive to provide a pleasant and enriching experience for everyone who visits.

Bays for disabled drivers are located in the car park at the gate closest to the main Manor building

A ramp for wheelchair users can be found to the side of the main building. This is near to the toilets, which includes a disabled facility.

 

Assistance dogs accompanying disabled visitors will be looked after in a quiet place by one of our volunteers, with a drinking bowl of water if required, while visitors will be provided a chaperon/guide to enjoy their visit inside the Temple Room.

Within the complex generally, volunteers are on hand if any assistance is required.

If you think you or your group will require special assistance, especially if you are coming with an assistance dog, please inform us at least 72 hours in advance by emailing info@krishnatemple.com.


Group Bookings

We can take groups up to a maximum of about 15 people and booking in advance is required. Schedule includes:

11am – 11.15am: Arrive at Bhaktivedanta Manor

11.15am: Tour

1.30pm: Snacks/ Bakery/ Lunch (as applicable- see below)

 

i) Tour guides can organise some vegetarian snacks and tea, for a donation of about £4 per person

ii) Group members can visit our shop/ bakery and purchase their own food items as required, at any time

iii) Also note that at about 1.45pm Sundays to Fridays, a vegetarian meal is served and all guests are welcome (voluntary donations can be made to the Tour Guides)
