Vision 2020 Launched

Over the last two and a half years a team of devotees representing a cross section of Bhaktivedanta Manor’s various communities have worked hard conversing about the Temple’s past, present and potential future.

Both the Vision Statement and Our Future in the Making documents can be viewed below.

On Wednesday 11th September the team finalised and launched the Vision for Bhaktivedanta Manor. This Vision Statement is intended to assist and guide current and future decision-makers. While building on current strengths and redressing elements of direction, the vision sets out a steady course for a future concurrence with the directives of Srila Prabhupada.

The Vision 2020 launch began with Sruti Dharma das, Temple President, thanking the team and welcoming the vision. Next the local Governing Body Commissioner Praghosa das spoke, impressing upon the benefits of such work. Sitaram das, the Vision 2020 Facilitator along with Krish Raval, explained the background and progressive steps of the project.

SRDAkhandadhi das then presented salient points, emphasising that the statement was not a plan of  future actions but far more representative of the values and culture that we all want to see further consolidated. Following group discussions and questions and answers, Gauri das spoke of the initial plans toward achieving the principles as set out in the Vision.
